Failure to comply with any programme term results in the MM2H pass being revoked. - Dependants: spouse; biological, step or adopted children below 21; children aged 21 to 34 who are unemployed AND single while in Malaysia (age at submission must be below 34); medically certified children with disabilities (no age limit); parents and/or parents-in-law (no age condition published). Foreign maid permitted on the Platinum tier only. Once the MM2H pass is endorsed, dependent children may remain on the programme until age 35. - Education: dependent children may study up to tertiary level at any government-recognised higher learning institution in Malaysia. Children aged 18 and above studying at tertiary level must obtain a Student Pass. - Medical check-up: compulsory for the principal and all dependants, at a clinic or hospital appointed by MOTAC, after approval to participate has been received. - Work and business: not allowed on Silver, Gold or SEZ/SFZ. Business, investment and career activity are permissible on Platinum only. - Change of principal: on the death of the principal, the MM2H pass transfers to the next-of-kin among the registered dependants. - Tax: the fixed deposit and any foreign-sourced income or funds are tax exempted. - Approval timeline: approximately 3–4 months to approval. - Submission route: every application must be made through a MOTAC-licensed MM2H tour operating business under the Tourism Industry Act 1992 [Act 482] and processed via the One Stop Centre (OSC MM2H). Final approval and any appeal sit with the Ministry of Home Affairs through the Immigration Department, not MOTAC. ### My Expat agency fees (MM2H) Minimum fees are fixed under the Price Control and Anti-Profiteering Act 2011 (Act 723): - Platinum: RM 70,000 - Gold: RM 55,000 - Silver: RM 40,000 - SEZ: RM 40,000 Included: agency fee, government processing fee, medical report, social visit visa fees (5 years), MEV visa fees where applicable, journey-performed visa fees where applicable, one year of health insurance where applicable, translation where applicable, security bond fee, fixed-deposit bank account arrangement, lifetime MM2H-related support, and education, tax, business and investment advice. Government participation fee (RM 1,000–200,000 depending on tier) is charged separately. Payment schedule: 10% on signed agreement, 10% after submission, 80% after approval. Refund policy: no refund of the 10% before submission; no refund of the 20% after submission but before result; 10% refunded if immigration rejects through no fault of the applicant; no refund for rejections caused by missing documents, non-compliance or security failure. ### SMM2H (Sarawak) - Main applicant minimum age 30. - Income test: RM 15,000 per month combined (couple) or RM 10,000 (single), averaged over the last 3 months — OR liquid funds of RM 200,000 (couple) or RM 100,000 (single). - Fixed deposit: RM 500,000, 50% withdrawable after one year (terms apply). - Visa term: 10 years renewable. - Minimum stay: 30 days per year in Sarawak by the main applicant; free to live anywhere in Malaysia otherwise. - Approval timeline: 4–6 months. Government processing fee RM 5,000. Visa fees RM 500–550 per person per year. - SMM2H is administered by the Sarawak state authorities and its terms differ from the federal MM2H programme. Do not apply federal MM2H figures to SMM2H. ### PVIP - 20-year validity, renewable. No minimum stay. Multiple Entry Visa. Work, business and active investment permitted. - Offshore income: RM 40,000 per month (RM 480,000 annually), verified by 3 months of statements. - Fixed deposit: RM 1,000,000 in a licensed Malaysian bank; 50% withdrawable after 6 months for property, medical or education. - One-time participation fee: RM 200,000 principal applicant, RM 100,000 per dependant.
